Production of polyvalent and monovalent diagnostic antibodies against Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Recents studies focus on production and purification of antibodies for rapid diagnosis, or passive therapy for treatment bacterial, viral and cancer disease.The present study is an attempt to prepare and produce polyvalent and monovalent diagnostic antibodies against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Immuno absorbance method was dependent for polyvalent antisera purification to get monovalent antibodies against P. aeruginosa. Animal model were rabbits for hyperimmunization to get polyvalent antibodies. Slide agglutination for preliminary rabbit serum assay against P.aeruginosa antigen. ELISA was done to confirm monovalent antibodies purity. The prepared monovalent antisera was highly sensitive (96%) and highly specific (95%) to detect P. aeruginosa.

Evaluation of prostate-specific antigen in patients with urinary tract infection

Evaluation of prostate-specific antigen in patients with urinary tract infection. Blood
samples were collected from patients with UTI and healthy control. Prostate Specific
Antigen (PSA) in patients and healthy control were estimated using ELISA system. the
study current included 50 patients suffering with UTI and 40 of the control group
(healthy). Patients age groups ranged between 35-58 years and divided into four groups
according to their age percentage 30% patients among 35-40 years, 22% patients among
41-46 years and 18 % patients among 47-53 years and 30% patients among 53-58 years.
Mean concentration of the PSA level in patients serum with UTI was the high
concentration in normal PSA levels (11.5±4.4) and (14.3±3.9) in high PSA levels of the
age groups (53-58 years), In comparison with healthy groups (control). The results study
of PSA level in serum with the age groups that their correlated between patients with
UTI were significantly different (P<0.01). Significant relationships between total
prostate specific antigen levels and male. The detection of genotypes for prostatespecific
antigen in a patient. Furthermore, it needed to detection early diagnosis in cases
of urinary tract infection in male and early treatment to avoid complication.

Detection of Aflatoxins Present in Some Types of Nuts are Available In Local Markets

Aflatoxins are a group of mycotoxins and secondary metabolites of various species of
Aspergillus. These are various forms of aflatoxins. Aflatoxins cause important health
problems and have a high potential effect on live cancer. Many studies have been conducted
during last three decades about contamination of Nuts by aflatoxins. The aim of this work
was to investigate the contamination levels of nuts used by confectionaries in Baghdad. A
total of fifteen samples including (3Almonds, 3Pistachio, 3Hazelnut , 3Peanuts and 3Walnut
) were collected from local market in Baghdad city. ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent
assays) technique was employed for screening of total aflatoxins in nuts. The contamination
rate was higher than 10 ppb was observed in (one sample of Almonds, two samples of
hazelnut, and in two samples of Walnuts). The result of tested samples showed that the rate
of contamination of hazelnut is higher than other tested samples.

Association of Proinflammatory Cytokines (Interleukin 6 and Interleuken 8) with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 In Baghdad Population

Patients with type 2 diabetes suffer from hyperglycemia do not have the ability to use the insulin they produce, and increased incidence of infections, and the aim of the current study is to investigate correlation proinflammatory cytokines (interleukin 6 and interleukin-8) with type 2 diabetes mellitus. in this study, were collected (100) sample of serum and a representative of the 80 samples of type 2 diabetes and 40 samples from healthy controls of Endocrinology, Diabetes Center at Kindi Hospital, and then measure the concentration of IL6, IL8 using enzymatic and colorimetric methods. This study has shown that there was no significant difference in the production of IL8 for diabetes and amounted to about (0.543 ± 0.16) compared with healthy (0.106 ± 0.01), while production showed significant difference for IL6 production reached (1.056 ± 0.18) compared with healthy (1.969 ± 0.19) and The conclusion Search found high values of IL 6 in type 2 diabetes compared with healthy.
